I adore reds place! It's always a safe option for lunch or dinner. I always order their mini French onion soup bread bowls as an appetizer. Every sandwich I've tried has been very tasty and same with the soups. The last time I was there, soup of the day was Tom kha and while less traditional, it was still quite delicious.
The food here is consistently great! I think the food quality dipped a bit during the pandemic, but that happened to every restaurant and they've definitely bounced back! However the hostesses seem to struggle a bit each time we try to call in pick up orders.
Delightful service. Excellent beer on tap. My lamb burger was quality - tender meat and goat cheese and typical fixin's. I wouldn't say it was revolutionary but good food and together with the beer and the warm ambience, not a bad place to find oneself in Ithaca.
We've been going to Red's Place for years now. My daughter discovered it while going to college in Ithaca. The interior is a moody and elegant red vibe. The food is amazing! We always get the red sauce and ricotta appetizer. It's so delicious! Service has always been great! Never much of a wait time. You'll find nice seating, as well as a full bar. Highly recommend it!
Fan-friggin-tastic! If you've stumbled across this review, it's a sure sign to give Red's a try. The place is cute, they have indoor dining as well as outdoor patio dining in the front. Service was spot on. From the second we were told about 15 minutes to them wiping downs a table and seating us in less than 5. Server stopped by right away and took the drink order which provided just enough time to gather our order. We started with the pot of gold which was a lovely tomato concoction with ricotta cheese in the middle. My husband doesn't like ricotta- and this changed his mind about that. When you swirl it with the tomato base... chefs kiss! It's amazing! We ordered a burger that had cheese, apple cider vinegar aioli and bacon jam cooked medium rare which was absolutely perfect! For a side, we ordered the sassquash. I cannot urge you enough to try it! What a lovely burst of flavors and textures. Again, husband does not like squash - but this was amazing and he asked me to try and recreate it at home - yep, that good! Highly recommend this place. I can't wait to go back!
We randomly stumbled upon this spot. They had a small outdoor deck and it was a nice day so we decided to stop. They weren't too busy, and we got sat right away. Our app took about 25 minutes to come out but it was worth the wait. The main courses took almost an hour to arrive at our table from when we ordered!!! The food was amazing, but the service could use a little help. Maybe our waitress was new. It was a great meal nonetheless.
Stopped by Red's along our road trip with our family. I love that they have a kid's menu! My kids enjoyed their pasta marinara, cheese quesedilla, and chicken nuggets. A very family friendly place! I ordered the Farmer salad and added chicken. The salad was fresh and light with just the right combo of ingredients! I was pleasantly surprised to find this gem of a restaurant!
